Historic Seabrook Village brings the world of landowning

African-American freedmen to life.

 

Hours

Seabrook is open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Guided walking tours leave daily from the Bowens House at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Group tours may arranged at other times with advance reservation.

Directions

FROM JACKSONVILLE and POINTS SOUTH

Take I-95 North to Georgia exit 76 (Midway/Sunbury).  Turn right at the stop sign and go approximately 4½ miles to Trade Hill Road (just beyond the Chevron station). Turn left on Trade Hill Road and continue about of a mile until you see the sign for the Seabrook Village parking area. You are now at the Eddie Bowens Farm (a National Register of Historic Places property), which marks the starting point for your tour.

 

FROM SAVANNAH and POINTS NORTH

Take I-95 South.  Get off I-95 at exit 76 (Midway/Sunbury).  Turn left at the stop sign and go pproximately 4½ miles to Trade Hill Road (just beyond the Chevron station). Turn left on Trade Hill Road and continue about of a mile until you see the sign for the Seabrook Village parking area. You are now at the Eddie Bowens Farm (a National Register of Historic Places property), which marks the starting point for your tour.

 

FROM ATLANTA or ATLANTA AIRPORT

Take I-75 South to I-16 East to I-95 South.  Get off I-95 at exit 76 (Midway/Sunbury).  Turn left at the stop sign and go pproximately 4½ miles to Trade Hill Road (just beyond the Chevron station).
